A little nudity never hurt anyone

In one of my other classes we were recently talking about the taboo on nudity or over-sexed items in American advertising.  If something is too racy or sexual it is constantly ridiculed or even banned.  For instance, the commercial during the superbowl that showed two men kissing over s Snickers bar was too sexually different than what American people are used to, so it was banned.

Spinning off of this idea of what is acceptable in American advertising I thought I would look a little farther into the idea.  I googled “nudity in advertising” just to see where it is acceptable.  The first place that caught my eye was Prague.  I clicked to see the type of advertising that they have in the streets and I found it interesting.

As far as I know, an advertisement like this would not be acceptable at all in the American culture.  We all surely remember the “nipple-gate” scandal that occurred when Janet Jackson “accidentally” showed off her nipple at the super bowl show.  Obviously there is something wrong with showing nudity in the public eye in America.  I just thought this was something interesting to look at from the point of view of another place in the world.  I would never have expected to see an advertisement like this on a bilboard until I looked into it a little more.
